Explosion of packing and posting! part 1

Two familes of Tapirs have gone to loving homes!

I had busy 10 days just packing and posting. No studio time. Just wrapping, putting them in suitable boxes, wrapping them with craft paper, taping, writing addresses and taking them to post office on foot every day except for Sunday. About 4 hours every day. I call it an explosion of packing! I have posted 24 packets in 10 days. About one third had more than 2 pieces. And packing multiple items is difficult and risky!

Now back to normal. I am posting the-previous day's ordes daily. And I would start making again. I have a few orders for the next firing. Then I will start making larger pieces for exhibition and shows in 2016.

Now I  know how Santa Claus feels!

Here are my out trays, on the 25th, 26th and 29th.

A family of tapirs!

Another fanily of tapirs

Six baby tapirs were packed like little chocolates and they have gone to a lovely lady in the West.

This white wren is commissioned by another lovely lady in the North.

About 25 tapirs have gone to loving homes! : ) There were more, but they will be in next post.

Rabbit Girl, the biggest ever!

I woke up about eight, had breakfast in bed, and dozed off until ten this morning. Yes, it is Monday morning. You might feel jealous, but don't. I had a full working Sunday, preparing for glaze-firing until nine at night and admin work after that until ten. My back aches from all work I have done recently. I have had a problem sleeping because of that. So it was nice to be in the bed a bit longer,

But, of course, I had to get up and plug the kiln! I am an artist working with ceramics. Otherwise I would have stayed in the bed until lunch time.

Rabbit Girl is in my shop. She is the largest Rabbit Girl ever. Some of you know that I have special feeling about white rabbits. I could see myself as one of them. So I have lots of rabbit themed works. To Japanese white rabbits have symbolic meaning. After all, it is one of characters appears in the Japanese myth.

Rabbit Girl

She is a girl in a rabbit body. She used to be a girl. She wished to be a white rabbit because she loved her pet rabbit so much. She wanted to be always with him. Her wish was granted.

More sales and a packing Monday!

Where the wind blows found a lovely home, I was told by Bils and Rye gallery last week. So nice! She has been my favourite and others'. I had a telepathic chat with her a few days prior to the sale day, coincidentally. She has strong will. I am so happy that she found a lovely lady who would love her dearly! Thank you so much!

On my shop front, things have been busy! Rabbit Girl found a super home in the Netherlands. It seems she had waited for the lovely lady to pick her. : )

I made a cosy box for her. I hope she would safely arrive. Fingers crossed.

The little Lamb with her teddy in the pocket has also found a loving home up north. A nice lady with beautiful dogs is waiting for her arrival! How wonderful! She has ear protection! :D

New works on my shop!

This week has passed so quickly!  I have done admin work and a bit of studio work. I have also listed lots of work on my shop!

The largest sitting up one and medium lying one (front on the right side) have found new homes in London very quickly. I don't often make medium/large ones, so this is a chance if you are interested in larger ones.

Whippets and greyhounds

The standing one on the Travertine mount is also available from my shop now.

Here is the new Rabbit Girl. As she is popular I thought I should make a new girl. Apparently she has a different character, still same loveliness!

First Water Boy is also on my shop! I love his curly hair!

I finally have time to list lots of work I have made over the summer and early autumn. So Don't forget keep checking my shop to see new works!

Have great rest of the weekend!
